Yellow + White + Slate Chic Chicago Wedding at AIC Modern Wing

Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 8:29PM Alexis, our bride, envisioned ultra chic florals for her wedding day in hues of white and sunshine yellow. For her bouquet, she requested a round style bouquet with lots of romantic texture including blooms of cymbidium orchids, freesia, callas, garden roses, and lisianthus.
The bridesmaids carried vibrant bouquets of yellow lilies, callas, roses, and cymbidium orchids. The guys wore a yellow calla boutonniere accented by a lily grass loop and wrapped in slate sateen.
The reception featured three different styles of chic centerpieces. The largest design (pictured above) was an over-the-top lush arrangement of white hydrangea, roses, cymbidiums, mums, and yellow spray roses and buttons. Submerged down the center of the clarinet vase were white Hawaiian orchids. Additionally, flanking each side of the center design were bud vases of yellow callas and floating white roses.
This avant-garde centerpiece style featured elevated pomanders of yellow and white button mums. Bud vases of white callas, oncidium orchids, and roses were intertwined between the pomanders.
